Downeast Concepts, Inc. was formed in 1995 as a combination of the companies of Cape Shore, Science & Nature and The Birding Company.  Cape Shore has been in business over fifty years and under the present ownership since 1978.  Cape Shore designs and imports high quality resort merchandise for gift shops nationwide. In 2005 Science & Nature introduced the new Backyard & Beyond line of outdoor products for kids.  Backyard & Beyond designs and creates fun and functional, high quality outdoor products for children ages 3-7.
